Thursday August 29th 4p-6p Book Signing with Helen Aitken & Susan Zurenda.
Helen B. Aitken is a former science educator and an award-winning writer; humorist, freelance writer, photographer, and columnist from eastern North Carolina.
By Helen Aitken, It Only Happens To Me… humor book information:
Every day is an adventure, or it should be. Some days, Helen attracts unusual people, and events follow, while other days, she’s part of a Lucy and Ethel sitcom. Humor is everywhere. It’s contagious, and she likes to spread it around.
It Only Happens To Me… is based on Helen’s humor blog of the same name and features some of my favorite creative nonfiction short stories. There might be a peppering of exaggeration or nonsense, but there is always a nugget of truth.
Her family provides great material; thankfully, she hasn’t been excommunicated. But there’s always tomorrow.
Susan Beckham Zurenda taught English for thirty-three years to college and high school students.
By Susan Beckham Zurenda, The Girl From the Red Rose Motel, revolves around two high school students from vastly different backgrounds who fall in love, and with the support of their sympathetic English teacher, attempt to navigate complications readers might never imagine.
